This Entry is About My Job : )
Im blogging about my job. You noe what.....i quit my job at the national library. Last Sunday was the end of my one month notice. The decision to quit had been a hard one. But finally i have the guts the make it. If not for the sake of my studies, i probably would have not quit. My results really shucks man...its not even close to average.
Oh man, I love the job and the people that i have worked with like the wonderful girl Hajar, the most understanding, kind and feels good to be with colleagues, Cik Asnah(my longest companion) and Cik Salamah. Ohh, and Evelyn too (apart from her life stories). There are also people i know that are simply entertaining like Cik Siti Fatimah and that little girl name Ain. I would have never thought that pple could be SO supportive and SO positive at all time till I met Cik Ayu. She’s really gifted in seeing the bright side of every single situation that occurs. And how can i possibly forget Cik Zainah. She’s the most memorable person in my mind right now. She shared lots of things with me...her experiences..the life that she’s living..her husband and children..her likes and dislikes... And listening to all that, I knew that she had gone thru many of life’s hindrance that ultimately built her up to be a respectable person and raising a well thought-of family and decent kids. I just love spending time with her and i love all of our conversations. She had been extremely generous to me....though i appreciated it, i still wanna give her in return. But it was not easy. She seldom took anything that i offer. At first i thought that she’s someone that’s hard to please. But soon, i realised she’s not comfortable taking things in return just because she had given me something. And i understand why. She had given me everything out of her own sincerity. She had expected nothing in return. So my only way to repay is ...be generous to the pple around me. When she decided to quit last year, i was so broken hearted coz i love her that much.
Apart from the good pple...there are a few that i quite not like. They are called The Makchicks between Hajar and me. Im talking about two pple here btw. What they do is just gossip. And one of them is the team leader for the level that i worked. She made rules and broke it. So much of a leadership! She just has got no idea how unfair it could be to others. The thing that i despise about her is the way she talks behind her own colleagues.. Gossips.. But not sizzling gossips. The gossips that she made were all pathetic to me. Little did i know.....this is our life? But pheww...that’s one thing im happy to leave behind. Poor Hajar...she has to tolerate all these nonsense. Dun worry Hajar...you can tolerate this much better than me. Hee..
Do i really dun have to come this week? Im out? What...Im out?? No more seeing crab? No more seeing the man who constantly sitting at the Bloomberg terminal every week? No more demanding readers?? Oh, man.... No more pay! No more of writing novels...... No more free thinking hours and dreaming.. No more lunch with Hajar....haizz.. No more of breaking up shelves and get my $200 salary deducted. Im seriously gonna miss all of it. When i walked out of the building last Sunday knowing that i have ended my job, i felt so empty. I have never thought i would feel that way when i quit but i was gloomy. But i left the job for good reasons. So...i’ll get over it....uh huh.
Presenting to y'all the library!!!

When else can you see the a library as empty as this... I worked at level 8 which holds the reference business and art section. Mind you, this is the busiest level among all the reference levels.

A library with a view! It's facing the city. Looking across you can see Suntec City and esplanade and hotels and offices around that area.

My friend, Hajar, she's afraid when she has to be alone.....she's even afraid to go to the toilet by herself. Hehe! There are many stories that we heard about weird things that happened in the library. It gave me the creeps at times but im not really believing it. Anyways..my dad used to say that in the olden days my grandfather was borned here, at this property. There used to be a house long time ago and this is where he was raised up. Hmmm...i have no idea what kind of house they lived but...at that time...pple need to buy their own land to build a house isn't it? If that's true, part of this property could have belonged to my ancestors. Meaning, I should not be a libarian here.....i should be the owner. Alrights......im crapping!! Im straying out of the topic.
When working.....i prefer the busy periods though. The busy periods could be seosonal, i noticed, especially the art section. The Business section is always busy all year round. Well, its supposed to be busy as the name suggested : busy-ness and the correct spelling to it is business ( if you get what i mean). And i love the business district! Hmm.. good thing about art when its not busy is that i can observe how the artsy dressed. Captivating!

Working in the libary is all about walking and ketuk-ketampi. I worked in the evening before i started polytechnic. And for evening shift...we have to work for 4 hours and 7 days a week. I loose about 8 kg w/o dieting or exercising. The reason is beacuse i was constantly moving around the lib shelving books and rearranging them. The motion never stops in the evening. I was really happy cos i have never lose that much. Haiz, but now it seems... im gaining it back.

Other than walking........it's all about shelving books!!!
They are like solving puzzle to me.

This is one photography book that fascinates me. The photographer took this picture in an old abandoned and ruined salon. This is a picture that spokes a thousand words. Hmm...im wondering what had caused them to cast off this place.
This is the cover of the book. It depicts an abandoned stage. I wish i can go to these kind of places and photograph.

This is so mesmerising. It protrays a completely deserted apartment. In fact, it's not only the apartment but the whole town is entirely forsaken. The photographer wrote it in the book that it's a ghost town. Damn...i had goosebumps writing this part, and its really late at night right now..........eerie........

Hey.....who still remember peanuts??!!! I do! My favourite while in primary sch....

I love pirates of the Caribbean too!!

Who's this guy?? This is the founder and ceo of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg. Working in the library made me know the things that i've never cared to know.
The title of this book says The Power of Humour at the Workplace. Hmmm....interesting. I would read it some day.
Apparently, the author of the book realised that there are pple in this world who doesnt know that fun is good. That's why he have to come out with the book. And hopefully the pple out there who doesnt understand the goodness of having fun will understand after reading it.

Nescafe id the only caffeine that i can tolerate....but not too often. i only have it when working. Especially if i have to do the art. The art section could even make me sleep while walking round the shelves.
